The Copper Disc Rivets by Samac Fixings are suitable for use with any man made slates. All of these copper rivets Screwfix for fibre have a diameter of three quarters of an inch. Available in packs of 100 or 1000. Please keep reading below to find out how to use copper disc rivets.
You only need to use one copper disc rivet to fix each slate. Copper Disc Rivets by Samac Fixings are bent downwards in order to hold the tail of the slate. This enables protection against wind uplift. To achieve the correct bend in the rivet shank, it is recommended to tap it twice with a hammer – once at a forty five degree angle to the pin and then onto the surface of the slate.
To allow the copper rivets Screwfix to be properly inserted, a second hole will need to be drilled 50 millimetres from the outside edge of the slate.
