Reclaimed Ornamental Tiles

Ornamental tiles can be manufactured in both handmade and machine from, and at JJ Roofing we have an extensive range of different designs, colours, and shape. Frequently requested ornamental tiles consist of fishtails, club tiles and bullnose tiles. These tiles are known to be one of the longest lasting materials available on the market.

The appearance of the ornamental tile is one of its biggest draws. The tiles come in many varieties and have a distinct surface and excellent colour variation that will range over the entire roof. Many people use these tiles as a way of adding decoration whilst ensuring the tiles still make the roof waterproof and fit for purpose.

Commonly decorative tiles Machine-made tiles are known to be 10.5x 6.5” inches, and have either 2 or 3 nibs to ensure it fits the roof it is fitted onto. One of their biggest advantages is their amazing durability, often outlasting the buildings they have been installed on. Ornamental tiles like the ones we stock, have been known to last up to 100 years.

Additionally, ornamental roof tiles are virtually fire proof and very much so environmentally friendly which is increasingly important in our modern times. This is due to the tiles always being made of either clay or concrete. Importantly, when the tiles are sorted, we recycle the tiles that are not suitable, whether this be due to cracks or missing nibs. This ensures that all tiles will meet the high standards that we have set ourselves.

Importantly, all of our ornamental tiles are water resistant and this is clearly important when understanding the pivotal role, they play on a roof. This means our reclaimed tiles are able to withstand extreme weather conditions and temperature changes, particularly as all tiles will have been checked.
