Pitched Roof Insulation Board
Pitched roof insulation boards are designed to improve the thermal performance of sloped roof constructions, helping to reduce heat loss and increase energy efficiency in both new build and refurbishment projects. Installed within or alongside the rafter structure, these rigid boards help create a well-insulated roof space while maintaining as much internal room as possible.
This category includes high-performance solutions such as Kingspan Thermapitch TP10 and Kingspan Kooltherm K107, both developed specifically for use in tiled or slated pitched roofs and attic spaces.
Kingspan Thermapitch TP10 is a PIR insulation board suitable for both new build and retrofit applications. With a thermal conductivity of 0.022 W/mK, it provides reliable insulation performance while remaining lightweight and easy to cut, handle and install. It is commonly used when creating usable attic or loft spaces and helps reduce heat loss through the roof, which can contribute to lower energy costs. Thermapitch TP10 also meets Robust Details for Part E of the Building Regulations (England & Wales).
Kingspan Kooltherm K107 is a premium performance pitched roof insulation board designed for applications including pitched roofs, attic floors, dwarf walls, dormer windows and flat ceilings. Known for its excellent thermal efficiency, it is one of the thinnest commonly used insulation options for pitched roofs, allowing target U-values to be achieved with minimal thickness. The boards are easy to trim to suit rafter spacings and can be retrofitted when converting an attic without requiring a full re-roof. Its low emissivity foil facing helps reduce heat loss, while the rigid structure prevents sagging over time.
Together, these insulation boards offer reliable, high-performance solutions for improving roof insulation and creating comfortable, energy-efficient attic or loft spaces.
