BMI Redland - DryVent - Monoridge System - Flat Tiles (2.7m)
The DryVent Monoridge System provides a continuous weathertight air path from the roof void to the outside with a mechanically fixed monoridge to comply with the requirements of the Building Regulations.
Description
- Provides a neat and attractive finish
- Profile filler units bespoke to each tile type
- Easy to install and can be laid even when bad weather is expected
- Ventilates to comply with BS 5250:2011, therefore reducing the risk of harmful condensation in the roof
- Tried and tested and complies with BS 5534:2014 requirements for mechanical fixing
General Information
Compatibility
- Available for all tiles and slates in the BMI Redland range except Cathedral Clay Pantile, Fenland Pantile, BMI Redland 49, Postel Clay Tile and Old Hollow Clay Pantile
- Suitable for use with concrete Half Round and Universal Angle Monoridge Tiles
Performance
- Minimum pitch will depend upon the minimum pitch of the roof tiles but must not be less than 15º
- Maximum pitch for DuoPlain, Landmark Double Pantile, Landmark Double Roman, Grovebury, Renown and 50 Double Roman is 47.5º; maximum pitch for Slate 10 range and Mini Stonewold is 52.5º (Stonewold II 44º). For all other interlocking tiles, maximum pitch is 45º
- Maximum pitch for Plain Tiles is 55º
- The effective ventilation area per metre run of ridge is 5,000mm²

Minimum pitch is the minimum pitch of the tile or slate, except Regent where it is 15°.
Maximum pitch with Half Round Monoridge Tiles is:
- 42.5° for Cambrian, Richmond, Saxon and Landmark Slate
- 44.5° for Stonewold II
- 45° for Regent, Renown, 50 Double Roman and Fenland Pantile
- 47.5° for Mini Stonewold, Landmark Double Pantile, DuoPlain and Grovebury
- 55° for all double lapped plain tiles
When used with rigid sarking and counterbattens the maximum pitch with Half Round Monoridge Tiles is:
- 30° for Cambrian
- 32.5° for Richmond, Saxon, and Landmark Slate
- 35° for Regent, Fenland Pantile and Rosemary Clay
- 37.5° for Landmark Double Pantile, Grovebury, 50 Double Roman and Renown
- 44.5° for Stonewold II
- 45° for Mini Stonewold and DuoPlain
- 50° for Heathland
- 52.5° for Plain Tiles
Maximum pitch with Universal Angle Monoridge Tiles is:
- 44.5° for Stonewold II
- 50° for Cambrian, Richmond, Saxon and Landmark Slate
- 52.5° for Mini Stonewold
- 60° for double lapped plain tiles and DuoPlain

Components
Each pack contains sufficient components to secure 6 monoridge tiles.
- Profile Filler Units (uPVC - grey)
- Monoridge Ridge to Ridge Seal (polypropylene - grey)
- Fixing Screws (stainless steel) and Washers (neoprene)
In addition, monoridge tiles will be required in a colour to suit, with matching Block End Monoridge Tiles, Left Hand and Right Hand, at all gable ends. Please note that Block End Monoridge Tile colours are not available for Rosemary, Heathland, DuoPlain or Plain Tile Natural Red.
A timber batten, 25 mm thick, must be fixed vertically to allow monoridge tile fixing.
