Designed for universal fitment, the TapcoSlate Classic dry ridge system and hip caps can accommodate any roof angle, offering flexibility during installation. They are lightweight, weighing as little as 12kg per square metre, and easy to install, featuring pre-marked nailing guides and spacers. The caps can be easily cut with a fine-toothed saw or a sharp utility blade, and the ridges and hips are mechanically fixed for added security. With a 40-year warranty and a wide range of colour options, this accessory is stocked for immediate availability.

The TapcoSlate Classic Ridge & Hip Cap is fully tested to meet BBA, UKTA, and ETA standards, and it carries UKCA and CE markings, including certifications for fire rating, wind, driven snow and rain, and water absorption. Unlike some products, these caps are not made from recycled plastics; instead, they are manufactured from recyclable virgin polypropylene and limestone, ensuring durability and sustainability.

The dimensions of the cap are as follows: an overall length of 445mm, a facing pattern length of 210mm, an overlap length of 235mm, and a side length of 160mm. The universal fitment means the height varies depending on the roof pitch and can be applied to roofs with angles ranging from nearly 0° to 90°. To ensure proper installation, the unit should be heated with a hot-air gun along the apex before bending it into shape. Six units are required to cover one linear metre of ridge or hip length.
