Katepal K-36 Bitumen Tube

The Katepal K-36 Bitumen Tube contains an elastic, elastomer bitumen-based adhesive designed for sealing seams and repairing various roof types, including felt, tin, brick, and similar materials. It is suitable for use on metal, wood, brick, concrete, hard PVC, bitumen, felt, and other surfaces, providing excellent adhesion for bitumen roofing tiles and felt seams. This adhesive maintains elasticity at low temperatures and remains non-drip at high temperatures.

Usage Instructions:

• Store at room temperature for at least one day before use.
• Clean surfaces thoroughly to remove loose matter, dirt, and grease. Porous or dusty surfaces may require a coat of bitumen solution K-80.
• Apply a 1 mm thick layer of K-36 adhesive using a 4 x 4 mm notched spreader, holding it at a 45° angle.
• Carefully press surfaces together to avoid air pockets, ensuring the sealant exudes from the seam.
• Smooth out any excess residue with a spatula.
• Can be applied to damp surfaces.
• Working temperature range: +5…+50 °C for gluing. Consumption rate: 1 litre per square meter for gluing.
• Do not cover the glued part of the felt until the adhesive has hardened.
• Clean stains and tools with mechanical means or white spirit/mineral turpentine.
• Indoors, allow the product to dry completely (solvent evaporation) before using the premises.
