Floplast S175 uPVC 175mm Golden Oak Soffit Board

The golden oak soffit board is a sleek, wood-like, multi-purpose board perfect for slotting under the fascia board. The soffit creates an imperative barrier between the outside elements and the internal building structure. The soffit board is manufactured at 10mm thickness and has an linear length of five metres. The soffit board is not ventilated, but push-in soffit vents can be fixed into the soffit to provide ventilation if needed. The soffit is made from durable uPVC, making it light in weight and easily maintained. 

Installing Golden Oak Multi-Purpose Soffit Board

The soffit board should be supported on bearers at the foot of every rafter and be securely supported at each end. A preferred method is to support them with battens nailed or screwed to the rafters. The bearers should be checked for line and level, and suitable packing should be installed where necessary. All timbers should be treated with preservative. The soffit board width should slot in the underside of the fascia sitting on the return leg. The soffit board should be fixed to the timber frame at 400mm centres using the colour-matched 40mm poly pins.
