Wallbarn Rubber Shock Absorbing Shim - 2.5mm Thick

RUBBER SHIMS WHICH ACT AS A VIBRATION AND SOUND INSULATOR WHEN USED WITH SUPPORT PADS AND PEDESTALS – SUITABLE FOR PAVING AND TIMBER DECKING APPLICATIONS.

These circular shims are styled and shaped in the same design as the standard plastic levelling shim, but are made from rubber instead of plastic to reduce sound and vibration from traffic passing to the roof deck below.

The shims are 2.5mm thick and are suitable for both paving and timber decking support pads and pedestals.

They act as an effective vibration or sound control layer. They deaden the sound of pedestrian traffic over slabs, tiles or timber decking.

This can be of enormous benefit on projects where terraces or walkways are constructed on top of residential properties and can drastically improve the experience of residents.

The shock absorbing shims are loose fitted so no fixings or ties are needed. They are simply laid onto the pad / pedestal and hooked over the positioning lugs on the headpiece of the pad / pedestal. Installation is fast and easy.

The shims will also give extra protection to the slabs or tiles themselves, acting as a cushion between the slab and the plastic support pad / pedestal, reducing the risk of damage caused by vibration over time.

Used in conjunction with the 5mm rubber disc underneath the pad, a significant amount of vibration and noise reduction can be achieved.

When paving, they can be used with rubber support pads, plastic fixed height support- pads, adjustable paving support pedestals, extended height adjustable support pedestals and Megapads & TD Megapads – extended height pedestals.

When installing timber decking they can be used with TD support pedestals for timber decking, TD mobile support pedestals and TD Megapads.
