Velux Curved Glass Rooflight
Velux Curved Glass Rooflight
If you’re fed up of your dark and dingy room, the Velux Curved Glass Rooflight is your answer. Manufactured using the latest Velux technology, this super stylish and highly innovative Velux curved glass rooflight is the best way to filter natural light into your home. Designed for roofs between 0 and 15 degrees, the Velux Curved Rooflight provides the perfect alternative to a roof window.
Velux have carefully considered the design of the rooflight. With a glass-to-edge curved construction, it combines style with functionality, so people benefit from maximum light infiltration and an eye-catching, modern design. The curved nature of the Velux curved glass rooflight also allows rainwater to run-off freely.
The Velux curved glass rooflight is set in an aluminium profile, which, in addition to being incredibly weather resistant, blends the rooflight in perfectly with flat roof materials. The internal frame is made from high-quality PVC, which offers wear-resistant and maintenance free properties. Inside the frame, the latest VELUX ThermoTechnology™ insulation has been incorporated.
The innovation extends to the double glazing, where the most recent insulating technologies have been used. This is an essential feature, as the roof contributes to one of the highest percentages of heat loss. In addition to ensuring that no heat escapes through the unit, the rooflight features a range of safety features.
One of the most significant safety features, the curved outer pane is made from 5-6mm of toughened glass. When glass has been toughened, it prevents the pane from shattering into sharp shards upon impact. Instead, it breaks into dulled edged cubes, making it less of a health and safety hazard.
On top of that, the Velux Curved Rooflight features an inner laminated pane, which prevents a shattered pane from coming away from the frame if an impact is made.
The 5-6mm of toughened glass, in addition to the internal panes, provides significant noise reduction and sound insulating properties. This means you don’t have to worry about being disrupted by the loud clattering of rain or hail on the window.
The Velux Curved Rooflight is available to purchase as a fixed unit or with VELUX INTEGRA®, which allows electrically controlled vent operation. JJ Roofing also stocks a huge range of sizes, so you can be sure to find the right unit for your space.
Fixed Velux Curved Rooflight (CFP)
The Fixed Velux Curved Rooflight offers the latest in window technology. Although not vented, this stylish feature can be combined with vented flat roof windows to offer a room both floods of natural light and ventilation.
VELUX INTEGRA® Curved Rooflight (CVP)
This mains powered Velux Curved Rooflight is controlled by a hidden window operator. It is supplied with a control pad or a remote control which ensures that you can easily adjust the position of the window and the level of ventilation.
With its silent motor operation and rain sensor technology, the electric Velux Curved Rooflight possesses many innovative features, making it one of the top products of its kind.
