Lead Sheet Restorer G1 1L

Lead sheeting is a popular roofing material that has seen wide use for hundreds of years across many different project types. Renowned for its durability, strength and aesthetic qualities, lead roofs can be found on millions of properties across the UK. As with any material, the appearance of lead roofs will fade with time which is why you need the fantastic Lead Sheet Restorer – brought to you by JJ Roofing.

The impressive qualities of this lead cleaner and restorer make it the perfect choice rooftops which have been inundated with dirt and grime. Applied in a gel form, the Lead Sheet Restorer will adhere to the surface of your roof for longer, regardless of pitch, ensuring the best results possible. From restoring that like-new appearance to enhancing the overall aesthetics, your roof will look as good as the day it was first installed.

In addition to removing dirt and grime, this lead cleaner and restorer product is also perfect for rooftops that have been covered in bird foul, pollutants, dust and oxide/ carbonate patinas. Here at JJ Roofing, we stock two versions of the Lead Sheet Restorer – G1 and G3. Whichever option you select will depend on the age of your roof.

G1 – the G1 lead cleaner and restorer has been specially created for use on lead sheet that is newer than 50 years. This product should be applied using either a cloth or a nylon scourer.

G3 – if your rooftop is older than 50 years of age, you need the G3 Lead Sheet Restorer. To get the best results, the G3 cleaner should be applied using a stiff paintbrush.

How to use this product

To start with, we advise that the correct protective personal equipment is worn as this product contains nitric acid which can be harmful to the skin and eyes. Before you start, test the product on a small area and discontinue use if you notice any adverse effects.

Care should be taken to protect any surrounding materials and, where possible, you should collect and dispose of all washings safely. Any previously applied Patination Oil should be removed and the surface cleaned and dried thoroughly. Then, apply the relevant lead cleaner and restorer. Once this task has been completed, wash and dry the area and apply a fresh coat of Patination Oil.
