It features a secondary layer which makes it fully waterproof and acts as a reliable barrier against water penetration. On top of this, the underlay is vapour permeable, so the roofing section is breathable.
It may be hard to believe, but this underlay also offers an acoustic value of 8db and acts to help reduce the intensity of external structure borne sounds, such as rain hammer and wind reverberation.
