The Icopal Monarplan Lightning Conductor Clip comprises of a lightning conductor cable clip that has been mechanically attached to a circular PVC membrane disc. This is then welded to the main Monarplan PVC roof membrane. To apply the Icopal Monarplan Lightning Conductor Clips, align the pad fixings in a fixed straight line using a chalk line. Centres on flat areas should be no more than 1m or as specified by the lightning conductor engineer. Where a higher wind-uplift is present, closer centres may be required. You should always ensure that conductor clips are installed as close as practical to either side of the juncture at junctions or areas where the direction changes.

The PVC disk (attached to the lightning conductor clip) should then be hot-air welded to the Monarplan PVC membrane. This should be done in accordance with BS 6651.
