The lightweight, lead free design of the Icopal FormFlash is constructed from a reinforced aluminium mesh which is bound in an SEBS modified bitumen and finished to give a fine grey granular aesthetic on the outer face and a polyethylene film in the inside face. The performance characteristics of the Icopal FormFlash Lead Free Flashing have proven themselves to be superior to the competition – this is the first lead free flashing substitute product in the UK to earn the Secured by Design certification.

With the increase in the value of lead and recycling scrap lead, the number of crimes involving the theft of lead flashing and vandalism of roofing that utilises lead flashings has increased as well. Due to the fact that Icopal FormFlash Lead Free Flashing has no resale value, it means that there is no chance of it being stolen.

The malleability of the Icopal FormFlash makes it easily workable down to -20°C and can be easily made more workable with a hot air gun and gentle heating.
