Introducing the Icopal Anderson 180 Polyester Roofing Felt Underlay, brought to you by JJ Roofing. These innovative products have been carefully designed to provide maximum results when used as part of a bituminous built-up roofing system. Available in rolls measuring 20m length x 1m width, these products are the perfect choice for projects including new builds and refurbishments.
Nobody wants the hassle of having to have their roof replaced every few years. The Icopal Anderson 180 Polyester Roofing Felt Underlay spares you this hassle with a guaranteed lifespan of up to 30 years! What gives these products their impressive durability is a high strength core of continuous polyester which has been coated with oxidised bitumen.
The polyester carrier which weighs 180/m2 is fed through a tank containing liquid bitumen where it is coated to an approximate thickness of 1.2mm. Upon exiting the tank, a top surface layer of fine sand is applied. Sand is also applied to the underside so that no sticking will occur in the roll. Every Icopal Anderson 180 Polyester Roofing Felt Underlay product has been BBA tested and approved and is ideally suited for use in protected flat roof systems.
With its incredible tensile strength, the Icopal Anderson 180 Polyester Roofing Felt Underlay has an impressive load failure rating of up to 700N (Longitudinal) and up to 500N (Transverse). In addition, the material is capable of withstanding a load in excess of 18kg per nail when secured to softwood boarding using 20mm extra-large head clout nails.
These products also save you the worry of tearing occurring as they boast a tear resistance of up to 200N. They are also rated to handle a load of up to 1,750 kN/m2 without bursting and are unaffected by water or sudden temperature shifts. In fact, the Icopal Anderson 180 Polyester Roofing Felt Underlay has an effective temperature range of -10oC to 90oC.
In addition, these roofing felt products are resistant to insects, pests, fungi, moss, lichen, moulds and bacteria. This will ensure that your roof requires very little maintenance and will stand up to virtually anything. The Icopal Anderson 180 Polyester Roofing Felt Underlay is compatible with all roofing and building materials except for Hydrocarbon solvent-based products such as Naphtha, paraffin and creosote.
Furthermore, these underlay products are Quality Management System approved to ISO 9001:2000 by BSI Quality Assurance. All of these products are delivered in strong weatherproof shrink-wrapped bags. When installed in an Icopal approved roofing system by an Icopal approved contractor these products come with a guarantee of up to 20 years.
