- Tried and tested and complies with BS 5534:2014 requirements for mechanical fixing
- Complies with BS EN 12056-2:2000 Gravity Drainage Systems Inside Buildings
General Information
Compatibility
Performance
- Minimum and maximum pitch will depend on the tile profile and whether ridge tiles are dry fixed or mortar bedded
- The effective ventilation area for each terminal is 8,400mm2
- To achieve roof space ventilation of 5,000mm2/m run, they should be spaced at 1.68m centres
- The pressure/air flow resistance characteristics of the terminal are as follows:
- At 15 litres/sec – 6.5 Pa
- At 30 litres/sec – 26 Pa
- At 60 litres/sec – 104 Pa

Fixing
Details
- Terminals are suitable for timber trussed rafter and timber sarking constructions. Where traditional timber rafter construction is used, trimmers will be required for each terminal position to allow a 300mm section of the ridge board to be removed.
- Where Terminals are used in conjunction with DryVent Ridge and are required in close proximity, at least one rafter spacing will be required between each terminal to allow adequate fixing of the ridge batten after a section has been removed.
- The position of the Terminal should not be within 600 mm of a gas flue such that foul gases can vent back into the building.
- The Terminal is not suitable for hot flue gases, or for use on hips.
- For soil pipe termination do not install within 3 m horizontally and 900 mm vertically of an opening, e.g. roof windows and roof space ventilation.
