The BMI Redland 49 is a concrete roof tile that has defined the roofscapes of London and Southern England for more than 50 years. A small cambered interlocking tile, the BMI Redland 49 is a visually appealing choice that is also easy to install. Available in a variety of attractive finishes, this tile is a suitable choice for new builds as well as refurbishment projects.
The construction of the BMI Redland 49 has recently been improved making it simpler to handle than ever. The updated build will ensure a fast instalment process. The unique camber is aesthetically pleasing while also providing great strength. This makes the BMI Redland 49 an extremely economical choice for your home.
BMI Redland has established a solid reputation for innovation by consistently championing new products and fresh practices. It was BMI Redland who in 1965 opened the first wind tunnel for testing roofing products. A more sophisticated version was built in 1990. Each product is rigorously tested before being made available for purchase.
The testing process involves using combinations of high wind and driving rain in a Group wind tunnel to determine the tiles’ performance with respect to wind loading and weather tightness. All BMI Redland tiles meet the requirements of the BS5534 – the British Standard for Slating and Tiling – and the BMI Redland 49 is no exception to this rule.
The BMI Redland 49 tiles are available in 8 attractive finishes – these are Brown, Antique Red, Terracotta, Tudor Brown, Farmhouse Red, Breckland Brown, Rustic Red, and Slate Grey. Each of these colours is visually striking and guaranteed to last while making your property pop.
