Colt Cowls Chimney Range

Browse our range of Colt Cowls products here.

I'm Rhys Davies and I work for Colt Cowls, we have been market leaders of the Chimney Cowl industry since 1931. We sell a full range of products including rotating cowls such as this, which have all purpose functions, they stop the downdraft, promote updraft, and also keep out birds and gas as well.

We sell them in this form; the Rotorvent Ultralite 2, which is a black aluminium cowl. We also do them in stainless steel, and in smaller versions as well. Along with that, we sell typical birdguards such as the High top solid fuel. This is actually our most popular product; we sell thousands of these on a monthly basis. You can see that they come with a square inch diameter which allows solid fuel to go through to stop debris from collecting on the actual mesh itself. And you can see the difference in that mesh with this one as well because this is a rectangular 16mm mesh, and that is gas certified. But unfortunately, solid fuel debris does tend to collect on that.

This product itself is the Colt Top 2 All Purpose, so this is actually an anti-downdraft cowl, it's actually a smaller version of our main anti-downdraft cowl which is the Colt Top All Purpose, but this is what we're currently selling to JJ Roofing. And as you can see it's suited for gas, it can be suitable for solid fuel as well if the bird guard mesh is removed. But that, again, is an anti-downdraft cowl so it stops smoke from blowing back down your chimney, as well as keeping birds out and protecting your Chimney from the rain. And that's basically what we have got on display today.
