The Velux awning blinds we’re offering right here at JJ Roofing will keep your room cool with effective heat protection. The exterior blind will block the sun’s rays before they hit your window pane which will reduce passive heating by up to 72%. This will keep your room comfortable on a hot day and you will still be able to enjoy your view as the blinds are transparent.
JJ Roofing offers Velux awning blinds with three different modes of operation – manual, electric and solar powered. You should think about where your roof window is placed when trying to choose the correct product for your home. For windows that are out of reach, the electrical and solar powered blinds will be a perfect option as they are remote controlled.
The manual Velux awning blinds come attached with hooks which makes them very easy to operate. All you need to do is open the window, rotate it by 180 degrees and fix the blind into the two hooks on the outside of the bottom sash. This option can easily be installed from the inside and you can still open the window when the blind is down.
The electrically powered Velux awning blinds are operated with the control pad that came with your INTEGRA™ roof window. This innovative pad is very easy to use remotely and you will be able to create a number of custom programs to suit your exact schedule and requirements.
The solar powered Velux awning blinds are controlled with a remote control pad that will be included with your purchase. If you happen to have an INTEGRA™ roof window that is solar powered, you will also be able to use the touchscreen pad that came with it. The solar battery will hold charge for up to 600 operations even if there is no direct sunlight.
All of Velux’s awning blinds are made from a polyester net fabric that is weather resistant and built to last. The electrical and solar awning blinds have a lacquered aluminium top cover which has been integrated into the window and will hide the awning when it’s not being used.
